The return of a demoscene legend
Down in deepest darkest Devon a reawakening of demoscene spirit is occurring. The streets of Budleigh Salterton lay dormant for just a year and the impact was felt throughout the demoscene - the word was that Sundown just couldn't die! We had to do the right thing and bring the scene back home to the South West of the UK for one more party!
Taking place at the Budleigh Salterton town hall from the 7th-9th of September 2012, Sundown returns with all the wonder and chaos you've come to expect from our party - but we remain on our mission of constant improvement. We are newly invogorated with the incredible assistance of the German contingent, the likes of D.Fox and his crew helping us pull off a most professional job. It's our aim to provide you with the finest of atmosphere - expect nothing less than the best!
Features
Along with all the competitions we'll still have the huge screen, newly specced sound system with some super sub woofers and of course the excellent kitchen facilities!
Costs
Entry to Sundown this year is £40 for a standard ticket or £60 for a supporter ticket (for those who are having a good year!). For those in dire straights, get in touch and we can help if need be!
Old & New School
No platform or generation is a second class citizen at Sundown - we aim to fully support all platforms old and new, so bring your productions! We also allow remote entries for those who can't make it on the day.
Competitions
This year we plan to mix things up a little bit - as well as having the usual Streaming Music compo; our tracked music competitions will seperate out 4channel Amiga, Multichannel Tracker and true synthesized chiptune compos into individual competitions. Demowise, we're having just an Old School and New School competition and keeping it oldskool with a proper Wild Compo - we trust the crowd can judge the productions on their appropriate merits, however if we have an abundance of entries we may seperate the competitions into appropriate subcategories.

Plan your trip to Sundown
Sundown 2012 will be the eighth consecutive annual UK demoparty and we'd love to have as many visitors as possible! If you have any questions or queries you can e-mail me (rc55) here. Those offering car shares or looking will be best served by the UKDemoscene Forum, same for those needing shuttle lifts from local train stations and airports. Don't hesitate to sign up now, early bookings are the most cost-effective!
